Hello, I’m Mark Novick, designer and owner of Novick Design.

MARK NOVICK
Designer
a little bit about me
I have designed lighting and projections for theatre, dance, opera, and corporate theatre productions for almost 30 years. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, I hold a Bachelor of the Arts in Theatre and Dance from the University of Texas at Austin and a MFA in Lighting and Projection Design from the University of Connecticut.
I’m happy to be living in the Austin area serving as the Vice President of Operations for Alinc Technologies, overseeing company day to day operations, ensuring company runs as smoothly and effectively as possible. I am also directly involved in overseeing the company’s Ecommerce platform, facilitating new front and back-end rollouts and for managing teams (both in-house and contract-based) to continue ongoing development efforts. I am also a proud company member of Austin Playhouse where I have been designing for over 15 years.
Prior to moving to Austin, while in Connecticut, I was honored to design for the Connecticut Repertory Theatre, Dance Theatre of Harlem, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre School, Arc3Design, and Tim Hunter Design.
Before moving to Connecticut, I served as the Lead Lighting Designer for Fastlane Productions, working on a wide array of corporate theatre productions. I’m fortunate to have had the opportunity design on a wide variety of productions, working with clients such as Proctor & Gamble, Macy’s Department Stores, the City of Denver, 20th Century Fox, and ADT Security.
Prior to working at Fastlane, Mark served as the resident lighting designer in Austin, Texas for the State Theatre Company from 1999-2000 and Austin Playhouse from 2001-2005. Other work in Austin includes working for Teatro Humanidad, Kids Acting, and FronteraFest.
